What type of assembly is required
Install 32 Lag Screws to attach bed ends to Mattress and Guard rails top and bottom. Install 10 wood screws to slats in kit - per each bed. Stack bunks and place on dowels installed in bottom ends' posts. Assemble trundle bed with 12 Lag Screws, install casters and knobs, and roll under side of bunk. Install knobs in Stairway Chest drawers, and mount to bunk bed end with L brackets in desired location

The slates break
I’ve had this bed about 4 months and I the slates have broken twice. I don’t understand how this has not been recalled. This bed is dangerous and it’s clear I’m not the only one that this has happened to. There is not middle support under the mattress. For reference, my girls are only 8 and 10 and weigh less than 80 pounds each and it broke from their weight, twice.

Horrible quality
We’ve barely had this bed 2 weeks and my 10 year old was laying on the top and a slat broke and hurt my daughter below. It literally just snapped in half. I do NOT recommend this bed. Now reading previous reviews, I’m seeing this is common for the slats to be horrible quality.

Perfect bunk bed
Exactly what we were looking for. My son's room is not very big, so we needed a bed that doesn't take up lots of space, but provides 3 places to sleep, when my stepsons visiting.
The trundle has the mattress included, otherwise it doesn't come with mattresses. The quality is excellent for this price, they assembled it at delivery.
It looks beautiful and i would highly recommend.

How is this bunk not recalled for safety issues?
The wood slats snap at the glued seems. How is this bed not recalled for safety? This is unbelievable. I noticed all of the wood for this bed is essentially made up of scrap would glued together, but I have (or had) faith in Living Spaces to have a passed a safety check in order to see beds that humans sleep on. I guess not. This was so loud and terrifying that no one will go near it and it's now an oversized shelf in the room.

Bed is great
Bed is attractive and made with decent quality. Better than a cheap furniture that you assemble but not so well made it will last more than a generation.
Matching furniture: ladder is cheap crap- my neice was using it and rung split and screw came centimeters from gouging leg open. We thought it was a bad peice of wood but when she used it again, skipping broken rung, same thing happened on another rung.
Dresser drawers are small and drawer mechanism is stiff. Feels like drawer only opens halfway but if you pull hard enough it will open more but if you aren't careful you'll pull the drawer out.
