Summit Black Twin Over Twin Bunk Bed With Stairway Chest is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 82.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and nice looking Sturdy, pleasing to the eye. My son loooves his bunk. We were unable to get the ladder as it was out of stock so my only complaint is it’s not the easiest to get down from unless you step in the bottom bunk… which now has his brother in it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slats are easily broken. I bought this bed for my son's room, 8yr old. 70lbs. 3 slats have already broken after 3 weeks. I'm going to need to replace with solid wood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great beds, small space in between We’ve had the beds for about a month and the kids like them so far. The only thing we dislike is that there is very little space when you’re on the bottom bunk. Even my two year old bumps her head. Overall the beds are a great look for their room, sturdy and good quality. They aren’t that heavy if you need to be moving them, as long as you have tile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toddler approved & EZ assembly! My kids 3&4 love their new bunk bed, easily able to go up and down with separately purchased staircase. Glad to have them sleeping on their own! Pretty good construction. Wish the wood were solid 2x4s and 2x6s rather than composites. Slats seem flimsy and may need replacing in the future. Instructions were clear and whole bunk bed was assembled in a few hours, will need a second set of hands for a couple steps or to accelerate putting frames together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would recommend! The bunk bed is built very well. The delivery team put it together quickly and accurately. Happy with our purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dark grey stain rubs off When putting this bunk bed together the quickly discovered the gray stain was making our hands turn dark grey. We cannot keep a bed that stains our bedding mattress. Now we are waiting for an email back about our warranty claim because we were past the 7 day return window.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rolling the dice Under bed storage unit... - left drawer splashed with dark stain inside - left drawer has no stain on drawer face left edge (guess that was what was lost in the spill) - right drawer guide rail was not connected, screw stripped out of enlarged hole in the wood - right drawer face is not assembled entirely vertically or 90 degrees to the drawer so there is a gap between drawer face and the unit when shut (top of face leans out about 1/4") - screws to install the drawer pulls were too long and bottom out in the pull itself before it can tighten against the drawer face. Had to shorted screws by about 1/8" + - On one drawer, pre-drilled holes for pull were drilled too close together to get the screws started to thread into the pull. Had to slightly widen both holes to gain separation. Stairway - top drawer has very warped wood as the drawer face and therefore it is gapped on the right when the drawer is shut - Various raised wood pieces that make up the raised panel look of the external walls of the staircase are not flush with one another as if the pieces were not exactly the same thickness. - Wood filler in two places raised up (not sanded) and not stained. I love the look and design but hate the workmanship and lack of quality assurance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy stylish bunk This is great for kids, sturdy and clean looking with a dark gray wood. I am not worried about my kids climbing around on it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Design! I bought this online without going into the stores and I really regret my purchase. The top bunk is wayyyy to close to the bottom and all of my son's friends keep hitting their heads. You can't even sit on the bottom bunk, you can only lie down. I wish I could return this or even take the two apart and use them that way. It's unfortunate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly manufactured and unsafe Pictures speaks louder than words. Take a look at how the top bunk bed was delivered. I can’t even set up my bunk beds since there’s a nail right through the middle of where I would screw in my top rail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the bed love the color We searched and searched for beds and just could not the one. Then we went to Living Spaces where we have been buying furniture for over 10 years and we came across this. This did not even fall into the category of what we were looking for but it was so beautiful and the price for the investment, because let’s face it it is an investment, the price is amazing. Our son loved it at first sight and the color my goodness the color is gorgeous. The bed is big and requires quite a bit of space but if you have the space this is definitely a great buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Regretful Purchase I read all of the available specs and reviews before purchasing this. The needed purpose is for 2 children to have a great place to sleep, but the beds become a king (or at least be the same height) when we have grandparents visiting. While it says it can become two separate beds, the heights of the mattress are too distinctly different. And, removing the rails and putting them back over and over would seriously decrease the strength of the rails. The wood is already just many boards glued together, I doubt the strength of the bed would hold up longer than a few years. It was affordable, and the kids are happy to have a new exciting place to sleep, it's adventurous. But now, it's almost impossible for grandparents to visit, it's not realistic to take the beds apart for each visit, and there is no longer space for an additional set of twins in the room. There are others out there for more money that are more sturdy and have matching mattress heights when apart. I don't know why this couldn't have been matching height, what a ridiculous design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice looking bunk bed The bunk bed is easy to put together and once assembled nicely built. The paint and texture will last the beatings of children. The only thing I do not like about this bed is that the clearance between the 2 beds is small, meaning the child on the lower bunk can not sit up on the Lower bed. I wish it was a little more clearance so my daughter could at least sit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kid Fun My kids absolutely love there new bunk beds. I had one growing up, and now to see them enjoying each other with there new bed is awesome. This bunk bed is very well built, and just the perfect size. Safe and fun for sibling bonding. We all love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great set up but the slat roll wood isn't that good The bed frame wood and all of the overall construction seems very well done. The edges are smooth and splinter free. Due to delivery timing etc, we opted for the in home delivery and self install. The whole bunk bed set up took only a few hours and went together easily. Initially I was not impressed with the slat roll look and appearance. The edges were not sanded and a few had some splinters, it also seems to have been a bunch of shorter pieces of wood cut funny (and glued?) together. But hey, it came with it so we put it together and it worked for a bit. My 6 year old (45 lbs) son was laying on the top bunk last night for bed, which was only his 4th or 5th time staying up there. He was laying in bed and one of the slats cracked right on the seam. In lieu of calling customer support, and likely getting a replacement slat roll, I just went to home depot and spent about $60 to get some solid pieces to build our own. They actually have them pre-cut at 39 inches, also pretty splinter-y on the edges. I sanded them down and drilled & screwed every one in to the top bunk support. A much more secure and long term solution vs the slat rolls. Anyway, I would recommend the bed and this product line, but I would not plan to install the slat rolls that come with it. My next project here is to check and possibly replace the ones that came w/ the full bottom bunk if those were similar - I don't recall and haven't checked yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks nice but.... The bunk bed looks good but the head clearance for the bottom bunk is very low. I son can’t sit up Completely straight on his bed and it’s disappointing and he is only 8. Really makes me regret buying this bunk. I would love to love this bed but that issue makes it hard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sons buck bed After searches for a few weeks we decided to go with Livingspaces bunk bed. I was between the one on Amazon ($350) and pottery barn ($2000). The amazon one had poor reviews based on poor wood quality. I am so happy with this bunch bed. Plus the install!!! The guys were professional and super fast! I feel 100% that my children are safe in this bunk bed and it looks great!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bed for needs This is a soft wood that scratches and dents easily. The selling point for me was the lower height of the bunks put together. We have low ceilings and my oldest can sit up in the bed as can my little. As an adult, I am not able to sit up in either, but I don't get in the bed so it doesn't bother me. Upon arrival and assembly, we noticed there we some parts that did not go with this set. They tell you to inspect and check it out before you leave if you pick it up at their store, however it was due to rain so we were in a hurry and the lady assured me that everything was right. I called the store and let them know we had wrong/missing parts and with no problems, they made the hour drive to come out and fix it. They actually finished assembling it for me at no extra cost which I was not expecting at all. Again a soft, easily damaged wood, but they do guarantee it on their warranty. These beds are also separable to make 2 twin floor beds. I love the space between the bottom because I use it as shoe storage. The top bed just sits onto the dowels of the bottom bed so that's a little unnerving, but we tried to tip and tilt it and unless you have WWE wrestling going on in it, you're probably safe. The only other thing I had to do was buy 2 low profile mattresses because I wasn't comfortable having a huge high mattress for the top especially. I am able to put a guard on both beds even behind the top rail to ensure my child doesn't fall over the top as she is a restless sleeper. The stairwell has storage drawers which is a nice addition. It does come detached in 1 piece, but it is HEAVY. The new smell took a bit to wear off, but it does go away shortly after unboxing. We have had it for a year now and I am still happy with the decision. I like the product and am looking at another piece to add to their room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice Very cute bunk bed! Love the lines of this bunk bed and the fact that there’s no ladder breaking up the top rails. Buy a thin full mattress- I had a 15” mattress that was too tall for the bottom bunk. We purchased a 8” mattress that made it much more spacious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bunk bed for kids I bought this for my 6 year old and my 9 year old. They loved it and had no problem climbing the top without a ladder. They are very sturdy and solid. They have now decided they want their own room so I have now seperated and given my younger one the top bunk. You can also remove the highest railing once they are separated so the bed does not look like it was a bunk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bunk bed! The bed is great quality, the stairs are so much better and more efficient than ladders and the built in storage is a great space saver! And it's a beautiful piece!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bed is ok It's sturdy and had plenty of room on the top. Unfortunately, the bottom bed is really close to the top, so my kid always bumps their head. You can't really sit up on the bottom bunk, which makes it not ideal for a story time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING quality bunk bed The Summit Grey bunk bed is not only beautiful but it is durable. It is solid wood and constructed well. I had it delivered and assembled which I highly recommend. It only took a few minutes fro them to assemble and it looks great! There is room below for drawers or storage bins.. I also added on the bunky boards on top of the wood slats on the top bunk for added stability of the twin mattress. There is plenty of room for my son to sit up without hitting his head on the bottom bunk. I love this bed in my son's room!
