Confortable Seating Capacity
The description says seating capacity 8 but the photographs show 6 only. Can 8 people set comfortably with the legs not bothered by the table base?

The whole table is very dark brown. No areas are black despite the description.

Can the stain be stripped?
I purchased it based on it being my desired style, but not color. Being described as hardwood, I planned to strip it and sand to apply a lighter finish. Now that I have it, I feel unsure that is possible...is it your opinion it is safe to sand and stain in my preferred color?
We do not recommend sanding and re-staining the Pierce Black Dining Table or any of the products we carry. Doing so will void your warranty.

The Pierce Black Dining Table is made with Asian Hardwood and Oak Veneers. The veneers are wire brushed.

Huge, sturdy but not the best quality
This table is VERY heavy and ultimately looks nice in our dining room; however, there are some things I’m not happy about:
1. The legs on the table and bench are NOT brass in color or even close to it. They’re more of a honey brown. I will probably paint them eventually to be a brass color but it was disappointing to see that.
2. The table stain is uneven and there were clumps/chips of the finish that came off before we even finished putting it together.
3. Some of the bolts in the chairs would not tighten. It felt like they were stripped, even though I was tightening them by hand.
4. The delivery crew Living Spaces sent out did not deliver indoors like it stated they would on the site. They left everything on the porch after calling to confirm I’d be home. No idea why they did that if they were just going to leave it all on the porch without knocking anyways.
Overall this table meets our needs and within our budget.

Scratches easily
Was hopeful for a beautiful table that would last in our new house. Within 1 month of receiving the table it had already started scratching. It seems as if there is no protective finish as it will scratch from a simple push of a glass plate across the table. Also don’t plan on using cups on this table. The condensation from some cups will leave a mark on the table and the table will start to bubble!! Do not buy this table .
