My queen hybrid mattress arrived today how long do you let it “breathe”? How do you know it’s completely done? Can I sleep on it while it’s “breathing”?

Horrible back and neck pain
I bought this mattress 2 weeks ago and it is causing a significant amount of back pain. At the store, it was soft and comfortable but in my house, it’s very firm. I was told that there were no returns on this product which is crazy to me given the cost. You can’t really tell how a mattress will be by trying it out briefly in the store. I want to cry every time I think about it. I’ve never had back and neck pain like this. I ordered a mattress topper hoping it will help but it seems ridiculous that a brand new $1000 mattress needs something to cover it up. At the store, they said it takes a few weeks to adjust to a new mattress but I’ve slept on a wide variety of beds when traveling and have never experienced this kind of pain.
