Eucalyptus also has a tight grain and silver patina that develops over time, which adds to its appeal. The cushions are upholstered in double-stitched solution-dyed polyester fabric and contain foam that’s water, mold and mildew-resistant.

are there clips that hold the pieces together so they don't slide apart?
It should not, but it does. We used zip ties, and it solved the problem. We also added small side boards on each end, as the cushions would slide out from under the arm rests. I love the sofa for its comfort, but it’s a shame we had to modify it for the price we paid. We’ve owned it for 9 months now.

Do not purchase. The paint pealed and cracked where the pieces were put together. It looked beautiful to begin with but the quality was super poor. We had to have Living Spaces replace it with the warranty. The replacement set was already cracked upon delivery and we were unable to get a refund.

The finish completely flakes off, do not buy
We bought these pieces in May, it's been a dry year and we finally had some light rain last week. The finish on these outdoor pieces is flaking and peeling off. I would never had spent $6k on outdoor furniture that couldn't stand up to the outdoors for less than a year. The piece is very comfortable, we are so disappointed in this purchase. We submitted a warranty claim and hope to hear from customer service soon.

Expect wood arms to shred and deteriorate in sun
This is an appealing design but expect a) the wood to deteriorate if in sun after 1 year (in Southern California) and b) the interior of the cushions will disintegrate and if you unzip and wash the outer cover, you cannot reform the cushions. I expected a $3000+ outdoor sofa to last more than one year.

Don’t waste your money
We’ve had our set for 6 months and it’s cracked and peeling. Terrible terrible quality…. Not actually made for outdoors. We bought the entire set… $6k down the drain.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Though this couch is so cute and very comfortable it’s coated with whatever and it just peels off. After one summer it looks horrible and is peeling apart. And this is “ considered normal wear and tear”
So don’t bother buying the insurance they offer you because they won’t fix it.

Love it so far
Ordered as part of the Malaga sectional. Very comfortable, sturdy, looks much nicer than most chunky wicker outdoor furniture. Only had them 3-4 weeks, but seat cushions are thick, firm, and seem like they will hold up. Wish the fabric had a darker color option since I'm not sure what the cream color will look like after some time outside. Also would be nice if Living Spaces sold a cover that fit the Malaga sectional even if it was in two separate covers. I finally found one that pretty much fits, but would have been great to have something that's made to fit. Overall very happy so far! I hope it lasts over time!
