Are those ropes supporting the seat as well? If so, when you sit in the chair do you sink down too much so that you feel the frame on your legs? I worry the base won't support your seat to be the height it is when no one is sitting on it.

Lightweight, modern and comfortable
We bought these in the gray but the terracotta displayed was also a very nice color. The blue looked fresh also. The chairs are very comfortable even for larger folks while not overwhelming a smaller SoCal patio. They are super lightweight but not flimsy so easy to move around by anyone. The material seems durable, however, I would probably garage store them or cover them for longer periods of rain. The chair pad is thin and unsubstational but has a zipper. With the overall neutral palette you can add square or oblong cushions. The terracotta displayed works well for a muted deserty feel. The navy is fresh and possibly beachy/nautical with added square cushions. Overall a different but very good chair. Hopefully the polyester ropes hold up, they do feel and look sturdy and so far no fading.

When they arrived the chairs looked used and/or dragged along the ground. Matted and dirty on 8 corners and a black greasy substance on a couple areas.
