A kids nightstand may seem like a small, inconsequential addition to a bedroom – but your room won't function well without one! It's that essential place beside your bed for a lamp, a clock or anything you need close at hand.
It's common to have two matching nightstands, one on either side of the bed, but you can mix it up to suit yourself! Two mismatched nightstands can still look cohesive if you use matching lamps – and if the room is small, it's perfectly okay to have one large nightstand rather than two tiny ones that get lost in the clutter.
So you can easily reach what you need, the top of a nightstand should be no higher or lower than the mattress by one or two inches. Choose a width that fits the room and the bed — a large bed should have larger nightstands — and make sure the depth doesn't hinder access to the bed. If you want extra storage space, look for nightstands with drawers or shelves.
