Customer Questions

Can this be placed between a box spring and mattress for added support?

Asked by: Wake
We do not recommend placing the Sage California King Bunky Board between a box spring(foundation) and a mattress as a foundation will be sufficient enough support for a California king mattress.

I bought the KAI CK bedroom, can I use a 4 inches H box spring as foundation, or I need to use a bunky board=¡?

Asked by: Gracek
Yes, you can use a 4" foundation on the Kai California King Platform Bed. Please note this will bring the height of the mattress higher than what is pictured in the product image, but this is a personal preference on how high you would like your mattress to be in relation to your headboard.

What is the difference between this board and a low profile box spring?

Asked by: GwenyM
The difference between a bunky board and low profile box spring is their height. Low-profile box springs are approximately 5" high, and are typically used on high bed frames with tall mattresses.

Is it a solid surface? I need a board to go under a memory foam mattress. The board cannot have spaces like slats where the foam would fall into.

The Sage California King Bunky Board Set features a solid wood frame with a flat top that is wrapped in fabric. Additionally, there are no holes or spaces for the mattress to sink into.
