Weight Limit?

What's the weight limit?
Asked by: Christy
Currently, I have a 115lb teen on it and there seems to be no problems. However, we did put 4-5 extra slats on it since we only have a mattress and no box springs. I have laid on there with her and I'm well over the 150 mark. Ours came with a short wooden poll/beam that screws into the middle slat for support.

Customer Reviews
KIT-OWEN GREY TWIN BOOKCASE BED W/NO STORAGE is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Headboard My teenage daughter picked out this bedroom set. When it arrived the bottom shelf was broken, no worries I called right away and they arranged for another to be brought and for this bed set to be picked up. The next one arrived and the sliding front panel was broken. UGH. Overall I think the style is great but it's not as sturdy as I was hoping. We weren't pleased with the amount of bed slats it came with so my husband made 4 more to make it solid. I will say this was due in part to only having a mattress and no box springs. Personally, if you are thinking about purchasing this know there may be a problem. *The gal I talked to in customer service was incredibly helpful and polite.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke in one year We purchased this bed for our 12 year a little over a year ago and had no issues at first. After a year went by the bed began to fall apart. The grey wood started peeling off and the bed has literally fallen apart. I would not recommend this bed if you are looking for a sturdy bed to last a long time. We are very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Son Loves His New Bed Good quality bed. This is perfect for my 13 year old son who graduated from a twin to a double. He loves it. It is a sturdy, well made bed and great for the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sadly it isn’t sturdy We purchased two of these beds for our 12 & 14yo boys. Out of the box, one had a crunched corner of the headboard and a loose sliding faux drawer. The first night my son was bothered by the constant sound of the “drawers” wobbling around. The second bed arrived with a broken faux drawer (it was completely broken from the headboard) and a scratched up footboard. Then, the first morning after waking up he was sitting on his bed putting shoes on when one of the support planks broke. We did not use a box spring bc first read through of reviews said it wasn’t needed although recommended. There’s no way the beds are safe without a box spring or even better would be about 6 more support planks of sturdier material. So sad to have to return these beds. The concept of the beds is wonderful for tween/teens
