Attaching the Back of the Recliner to the Base of the Recliner

Once you have the base of your recliner or reclining sofa arranged exactly where you want it, follow these steps to properly secure the recliner’s back.

1. While holding on to either side of the recliner back, slide the metal guides (built into the recliner back) into the receiver clips (found on the recliner base).

2. Once the metal guides are aligned inside the receiver clips, lock them into place by pressing down on the top of the recliner.

3. Pull down the recliner covering from the top of the recliner, and fasten it over the bottom of the recliner back.

If you need to remove the back of the recliner for any reason, follow these steps for easy – and safe – disassembly.

1. Unfasten the recliner covering from the bottom of the recliner back, and fold it over the top of the recliner, so that the recliner’s metal guides and hook are exposed.

3. To detach the back of the recliner, hold onto both sides of the recliner back and pull upwards.
