How to Attach Sofa Legs: A Step-By-Step Video

A quick video that shows how to assemble your new purchase.

Please note: the following process applies only to sofas with legs that come with a metal plate and screws. Types of sofas will vary and require different hardware pieces and processes for leg attachment.

1. Unbox the sofa. Remove all outer packaging.
2. Remove the sofa legs pouch and hardware from bottom of sofa.
3. Place the sofa on its side. For your safety, make sure to do this with another person.
4. Attach the top of the sofa to the base.
5. Use a drill to screw in the four legs.
6. Place sofa upright.
7. Sit back, relax and enjoy your sofa – because you’re done!

Types of Attachments

There are two main types of sofa leg attachment: direct attachment and plate attachment. With direct attachment, the legs can be screwed in directly into the bottom of the sofa, with no extra hardware or plate required. With plate attachment, the legs will usually need to be first secured to a metal or wood plate, and then the leg-and-plate attached to the bottom of the sofa.
