I don't know the original clearance, as I reduced the length of the legs and added casters.

Would not buy again
We purchased this desk online for my teenage daughter's room. On the very first day of having it, she chipped some of the paint of the front drawers with her desk chair. Very disappointing how thin the paint is and how easily it chipped off. Now there is a big spot with no paint. The drawers are also don't hold as much as I had hoped (they are very shallow). I wish I had made a different choice but it's hard to know quality when purchasing online. I reached out to support to see how to fix it but have not gotten a response.

Amazing desk
We found this desk as we were looking for something simple and modern, but didn't want to shell out for west elm or cb2. The desk arrived with free local shipping in two days and it took about 20 minutes to put together, majority of the pieces already coming assembled. It's extremely sturdy and well-built!
The only nit I have with it is the drawers are a little tough to open + close, but I imagine that will get better with time. Would recommend!

Good Desk
I do like this desk. It was fairly easy to put together and looks great in my home office. Unfortunately it did come with some nicks and imperfections. They are only noticeable to me though.
