what is this?
what does "low profile foundation" mean? I have no idea ... can this replace the mattress on top of my existing box spring? can this serve as a standalone mattress? is this material different from the 2k mattress? more info will be helpful, thanks.
The Tempur Flat Grey Queen Low Profile Foundation serves the same purpose as a box spring, which is to provide crucial mattress support. "Low profile" means that the height of this foundation is 4" lower than that of the standard height Tempur Flat Grey Queen Foundation. You would still have to purchase a mattress to accompany this foundation or your original box spring.
It's worth mentioning that if your box spring is over 8 years then it's a wise idea to consider replacing it.

Slats or solid
Are there slats or a solid top?
The Tempur Flat Grey Queen Low Profile Foundation will feature a solid piece which lies over a wooden frame. Additionally, it is wrapped in the grey fiber batting seen in the product image.

Does the order come with the piece under the 5 inch foundation?
I have a bed frame and a bunkie board but the slates are terrible so Id like to replace the slates and the bunkie board with a foundation.
The grey display base under the Tempur Flat Grey Queen Low Profile Foundation is not included. It is just used for display.
