Does the bed move because of the casters? Do the casters lock?
Yes and its more of a clicking lock, its secure but easy to remove the casters. Actually well designed if I think about it. I wouldn’t worry about the casters but to be specific there is no manual, you interacting with said lock, locks on the casters they just kind of fit in and can be taken out.

Height of headboard & footboard
Are the height of the headboard and footboard the same? I want to make this look like a daybed/couch for a spare room
Yes

Can this bed be used without the ends?
Does it look ugly when we don't put the headboard etc on it? Is it possible to do that at all?
Absolutely need the ends. I put mine agaist the wall and got a ton of pillows, half silk covered, and it looks great i think

Can I use an XL twin mattress with this bed?
I have a regular twin and it fit snug so I would say probably not.

What is the height of the platform portion alone?
I'm trying to determine how high up from the floor my twin mattress would be elevated if I were to place it on the bed frame without use of the casters (i.e., With bed frame sitting directly on the floor).
Bored at my buddys and probably wont remember to do this again but its a good couple of feet and it can be raised which i did so it feels like 3 feet or more. Im 5’10” and it goes up to my waist when raised.

Good for toddlers, very LOW to the ground
Just be aware it is very LOW to the ground! The photos make it look normal, but it is so much lower. So definitely note the measurements before you buy. It is only slightly better than a mattress on the floor! It is SO low to the ground.
We bought this for our 3 year old. It is great for a first bed, as others have stated.
We thought it would be good to last him until he is at least a pre-teen. It will be too small by then because it is so low to the floor. He's gonna be a tall guy, so this is going to be too low for him as he grows. But for a couple of years it is ok.

Creaking PoS
This is the worst piece of furniture I have ever bought - quality is really poor, creaks when you touch it or even look at it - very disappointed- will be lucky if this thing lasts a year.

Sturdy
I bought this bed for my 3 1/2 year-old son. He absolutely loves it and so do I. It’s solid wood, not like the beds at another store we looked at. The height can be adjusted from super low without the casters on the lowest screw setting, low with casters on the lowest screw setting, medium if you move it up a screw, and high at the top screw setting (which is actually a regular height). This means it will last until my kid is a teenager. It’s a great value and it’s beautiful. You don’t need a box spring with this bed because it comes with wooden slats. It’s a platform bed, so we have a memory foam mattress on it. It doesn’t make any noise and it’s comfortable.

Great Bed
Bought this for my 3 year old and this bed is perfect for him. Very sturdy, low profile and looks great in his room. I loved the way it made his room smell with the wood and he climbed in right away.

Functional
We bought it for our 2.5 years old daughter. Decent price! Wish there was a white finish choice.

Awesome for the price
Im a 22 year old male college student who lives in a pseudo-music-studio that is really just a homey garage with instruments and books everywhere, Love/Hate relationship...
I was looking to upgrade my quarters from matress on floor to matress on something respectable enough to be aesthetically not depressing. Super happy, doesnt have a backboard but the way I set it up is with silk pillow covers and italian plillows and mattress toppers (I figure its a garage might as well over-do it juuuust right). Wasn’t super difficult to put together but im a guy and enjoy putting things together... didnt do it there way because it was a little confusing but my wood glue and gorrila glue combo worked great. Anyways, made my place look way better. For the price im happy. The wood looks reaaly roch and nice. I talk too much. Cheers.

Nice small bed
I have a small bedroom and was looking for a twin bed that fits well, doesn't have a big headboard, and is affordable. Ikea has good twin beds but the styles are a bit boring. I wanted something different and came across this bed when searching for Twin beds online. I then went to the Millbrae store to see and purchase. It was easy to assemble and quality is very good for the price. Only reason I'm not giving it five star is because of the casters. Tiniest move make the bed move 1 feet from the corner of the room to the middle but that might get better when I add a carpet to the room.
