First off... let me say... I love this chair. It makes me happy every time I look at it. It is BEAUTIFUL to me. The carving on the sides is perfection. However, if you want this chair for anything other that looks... maybe sit in it before you buy it. It is not comfortable to me. It is extremely stiff and firm. The back is low and since the seat doesn’t compress there is no way to sit in this chair in a slouched or relaxed manner. If you want it to interrogate a witness and make sure the sit up at full attention... perfect. I didn’t buy it for comfort. I bought it to complete a look in a room where I will primarily be alone. It is great for temporary seating. So be aware that this chair is a work of art more than actual furniture. I am completely happy with it and thought about driving 4 hours in the opposite direction to get one in AZ.

Beautifully made, it's so unique. The seat isn't as soft as i would like but it's a great addition to a beachy / eclectic space. Love it love it love it
