Amazing family table!
I am so happy with this table! Years of memories will be made at this classic farmhouse walnut gorgeous table! I just love it. I didn't like the chairs so I kept my old ones and the cherry wood of my old chairs looks pretty nice actually! Finally enough room for everyone and I can't wait for Thanksgiving.

We made this purchase a couple of weeks ago. When they delivered it, It was chipped on the top, and you could tell that oil and been rubbed on it to hide it. The table top was smooth, except that part. Then on one side there was a part that was stripped off, and on the opposite side, there was a long scratch etched in the wood. It isn't a weathered table. We asked to exchange it for a new one. This one had a small scratch etched in that also had been rubbed with oil. On only one corner, it had a thin slat. We really wanted to like this table, but we want a quality table that will last.

Beautiful... And super fragile
This table is beautiful. It is also, easily, the most fragile finish I've ever had to deal with. I'm pretty sure I put scratches in it simply by looking at it harshly. We used placemats in hopes of saving it --and my sanity- from a swift fall into ugly disrepair. Finally we decided to put a protective finish on it ourselves because the anxiety that accompanied regular use was overwhelming. The finish did not go on well, and I regret having ever purchased this table at all. Do NOT buy this if you have children (even if your children, like mine, are VERY responsible and easy on furniture and fragile homes items). It looks nice the first day, but it's not worth the heartache of watching the table get a new scratch or two with each use.
Also, on another note, the chairs are flimsy. 4 of them were delivered damaged and had to be replaced. Then half of the replacements were damaged and had to be replaced. Then one of the chairs that wasn't damaged originally started to crack at the sides where the legs attach. Overall, the quality of this entire set was far below what I would expect from this price point.
