Based on recent reviews, is the tabletop real wood or laminate? Seems like older reviews state table is “solid” while recent reviews state it has a veneer top and bubbles. Can someone verify this? Perhaps change in materials? Thanks
I’ve had my table for over 4 years and I agree with the reviewers that say it’s total crap. It has been bubbling up since day one and the white marks all over it look like imperfections rather than a design detail. I would never ever ever recommend this table.

Is the top of this table actually wood or a veneer covering?
Table is not wood as stated on the website. It warped with a spill of water. Other reviews state the same.

Is it possible to get measurement from floor to the (bottom) of the scalloped edge detail? I ask this because I have woven chairs with arms and need to know if the arms will fit under the table (and that scalloped edge detail). Thank you.

We received this table 7/15/22. Unboxed the chairs and table then assembled. The next day in good lighting we had started to notice some pretty big flaws. We noticed the scallops were chipping, the glue was everywhere and just looked cheap. Looking even closer we also noticed the wood was not solid & that there was sort of vinyl coating or something covering fake wood. The chair in the box still had a chip but just on coating that was slapped on. Then just casually sitting in a different chair it literally snapped no warning just broke. We paid $1800 for this table and 4 chairs. Absolutely ridiculous! We need a table & chairs that will last 10 years minimum & this hunk of crap didn’t even make it 24 hours. I will say we got a refund and they picked the items up promptly so that was helpful. If Chip & Joanna read this review the product that is out in the market is poorly made from Vietnam and not worth the hefty price tag. I got word that there is a guy in Canton that makes hand made tables and chairs for literally half the price I paid.

Love his table!
I've had this table for a couple of years now. It is well built and beautiful - I love the scalloping around the edge. It's one of my all-time favorite pieces of furniture!
