Congratulations on purchasing this handcrafted solid wood furniture product. Please keep in mind that wood is sensitive to changes in humidity. As the weather changes so does the relative humidity in your home and the moisture content of your solid wood furniture.
We have taken every precaution to stabilize the lumber used to build this product. Still, you may observe plank movement or small cracks as the seasons change, particularly during the first 6-12 months of ownership. This is normal for solid wood furniture and will not affect the performance or longevity of this product.
Dust frequently with a clean, damp, lint-free cloth. Frequent dusting will remove abrasive build-up which can damage a finish over time. Occasionally use a light application of a high quality furniture polish to enhance the beauty of the finish. Avoid using oily polishes or waxes. Avoid exposing your furniture to strong sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can fade the finish of your furniture.
Do not expose your furniture to any liquids. Never allow water to sit on your furniture. Alcohol, nail polish and perfume are also dangerous, as they can dissolve the furniture finish on contact and may require professional repairs.

The Gables Extension Dining Table should not be exposed to liquid. We strongly recommend the use of coasters or something similar to protect the wood.

Does the table get shorter than the 89 inches?
I just received this table yesterday after waiting 2 months for it! I specifically called regarding the discrepancies in the measurements. Jennifer said she called the manufacturer and they confirmed 71” and with the leaf, 89”. Well, it is not! This table is 81” and the leaf is 17 1/8”, making it 98 1/8” total in length. It is too big for the room, so I am returning it. They are going to pick it up, no fees. My husband is not too happy that he has to take it apart now. At least we get a full refund. I just thought I would let everyone know, in case they have a limited area, as I do! I really like the table, but it’s just too big in our Kitchen Nook!

Product came damaged - large crack in one of the corners underneath, which we were able to glue, but it also seems to scratch very easily. We've barely had it a month and there's already a noticeable scratch on the table top that I'm not sure where it came from as it's only had normal day to day use.

Perfect size!
Love this table! It is the perfect size for our space and the bench we also got is a space saver. If we have guest we can add the middle section for more table space.

Great big table for 6-8 People
We just bought this table for your new house and it goes really well in our space. We also bought the matching sideboard. We are in love with them both. the table is very spacious. We only have 6 chairs around it but can easily accommodate 2 more.

Sturdy and solid construction. I've ready reviews that the extension and table sections don't line up properly but mine is perfectly aligned. Finish looks exactly like the pictures. Very happy with this purchase.

STAIN FADES!
I loved the look of this table when I first got it. Heads up, it’s huge. Sadly, after only ONE MONTH the stain started to peel. I called customer service to see if they would replace the top piece and they said it he warranty doesn’t cover this. It looks HORRIBLE NOW!! It’s extremely noticeable and so unfortunate because it is a beautiful table. This was my first purchase with Living Spaces and I expected so much more from their warranty.
