Is there a protective finish on the table?

Is there a protective finish like a varnish on this table? Is it Raw wood which would stain and mar easily, or pick up rings from glasses?

There's no varnish on it. It's a very natural look. It won't leave watermarks or stains on the surface.

Would this be suitable to use as a desk?

You could use the Jonah Sofa Table as a writing desk or for your laptop, but keep in mind the depth is only 18" which would not be enough space for a desktop computer. A desk is typically 20"-30" deep.

It has two small drawers--they are small so don't expect to place bulky items in there. The product is sturdy and has small form factor, so it's functional and minimal for smaller areas. A nice product that meets my need.

They were not getting enough light and this table turned out to be the perfect thing to use. My violets have improved 100%. I am so glad I walked in there the day I did, now I need to come back and look for my sofa. Thanks for being there for me.
