Does it Come with Hanging File Railings?

Does it come with hanging file railings to hang the files on or do you need to buy those separately? If included, what are the dimensions of the railings? Are they for legal or regular size files?
Asked by: JC9999
Yes it has the rails and they are adjustable between the smaller and larger size and they at screwed in so they don't fall out.

JAXON LATERAL FILE CABINET is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice file cabinet The style and strudyness of the unit is why I bought it but I was pleasantly surprised to see the small features that impressed me. The features are the safety lock where you can't open both drawers at the same time. The racks that hold the hanging files are screwed in. In older cabinets I had the rods that where held in by gravity and would have a tendency to come out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and Necessary I was trying to find a cabinet that was similar in color to a desk we already had, which this did. I like that this seems quite sturdy and good quality, so will last for quite some time. The cabinet was a necessity for a number of reasons, initially for all kinds of important paperwork that my parents held onto. This will help with files and organization, as will as some storage of few items not needed daily. Also the stereo system or TV fit on there perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well built, but flawed spacing makes intended use impossible without modification. I bought this chest as part of an office suite, and overall, the construction quality is fine. My problem is with the spacing of the rails which are there to hang your standard hanging file folders from. The placement of these rails is too narrow - in my case, it was less than the width of a standard hanging folder itself, nevermind leaving enough space for the hooks on either side. In effect, these rails were 3/8" too narrow to use with any standard hanging file folders. This was true for both letter size (after moving the rails to that position) and legal size (the default). I used a Dremel tool to carve out new channels for the rails to move in, and secured them in the proper position. I shouldn't have had to do that, but it wasn't worth sending back, if you have the ability to make it work. I'm surprised I haven't seen others reference this issue - and I went to the Office supply store with my measuring tape to see if there were any narrower hanging files available (there were not - they are all a standard size). It could be that my drawers were simply drilled incorrectly, but it seems unlikely that there wouldn't be an automated process or a jig for ensuring proper placement. So, at the end of the day all is well, but I don't like paying this much money for something that I have to modify crudely, in order simply to use for its intended purpose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful but Weird Size I bought this cabinet to go with my Jaxon desk. It is beautiful, sturdy, and well made. However, the internal dimensions are strange if you want to use it with hanging folders to support 8.5 x 11 files. The papers in the hanging file get caught on the top edge of the cabinet when you close it because the drawers are not deep enough. It works better if you just put the folders inside the cabinet without the hanging files. And they are really made for legal size folders, so there is extra wasted space in the back of the cabinet. I found this cabinet holds much less than my old traditional 2 drawer upright filing cabinet because of this weird size. The other issue is with the latching mechanism. I have a hard time getting it to catch; I feel like I am going to break it, so most of the time I just leave the top drawer slightly open. But, it does look good next to my Jaxon desk!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Later File Matched the Jaxon shelves we bought and looks great. BUT, if you have 'overloaded' file folders/hanging files, they will not fit. The metal bar that holds the hanging tabs are too close to the top of the cabinet.
