Once the table is open, can the two sides be used as tables for kids to color On top of. Or do they not hold any weight while open?
Yes the two sides of the table can be used to color on but the opened sides do easily slide shut back to their position. It can’t be locked in place while opened. I wouldn’t recommend coloring on the table to be a routine because while opened it shifts a bit side to side as well.

Great accent piece
This a great piece. Good size but not too big. Fits perfectly on my stairs to add a little something. Just be advised that you do have to assemble it. The main table/drawers are together but you have to assemble the rest…unlike other living spaces pieces
