How dark is this? In some of the pictures it looks quite light and I. Others more of a medium hue
The Canya 7 Drawer Dresser has natural Oak so a light finish. The differences in hue can happen between the solid Oak elements and the veneered parts. Solid oak will always appear darker (rounded corners and the picture frames on the drawer fronts.

Is there solid wood behind the caning so hardware could be added?
The Canya Dresser will have a panel behind the cane, the panel is made of mdf.

Do the drawers pull all the way out? I want to be able to easily access the back of the drawer.
The Canya Dresser glides have a 3/4 extension so they do not pull all the way out. This is done in order to comply with the anti tipping hazard you would have with full extension glides.

Chemical smell
I have purchased many things from living spaces but would not recommend this dresser. We bought it for our future baby's nursery and it has been emitting a strong chemical smell ever since we got it, it has reduced since airing out all the drawers and putting fans but all the baby items we put in it now smell, and smell still remains. I was told by living spaces they treat this with formaldehyde so would reconsider exposing to your home and go for a green guard certified piece of furniture given the price.

Reddish wood
Dresser is NOT a natural color. It is a pink/reddish wood tone. Customer service was awful. Returned it.
