What color is the top?
Is the top a black'ish stain ? Cant tell from the picture?
It's a dark grey-ish brown-ish color. Mostly Dark gray/brown, not black, not full gray or full dark brown either. Almost a slate color but with wood grain texture.

Yes they are! Each side has two movable shelves with various adjustment holes to customize the spacing.

Sideboard
We love the new sideboard. It is very heavy and a solid piece of furniture. It replaces counter top and cupboard space we lost when we remodeled our kitchen.... (the loss was unexpected) We are very pleased with the look and function of the sideboard.

Great white hutch buffet for dining room area.
I bought this buffet at the store after looking at every model. We modified the handles on the doors to match the knobs in my kitchen which are glass. But we left the drawer handles.
It was very heavy to move as we didn't pay for installation, but we managed to get it into the house and place fine with a little help from neighbors.
I work at a web design company AllinWebPro . com and have a pretty good sense of design by it was my girlfriend who picked it out and made the big decisions. I am planning to host parties while drinking Cafe do Paraiso coffee which is the best coffee in the world in that area, and the dark top looks good with coffee mugs and brewing equipment.
It's sturdy and overall a great piece especially for the looks and style.

Fabulous in my kitchen
This sideboard is really good-looking and very sturdy. I purchased two units and put them back-to-back as an island in my kitchen. I wanted a look other than the "kitchen cabinet" look and these lovely pieces delivered a custom look that gets raves from my guests. I looked for two years to find the perfect pieces and am so pleased with these.
