what is this?

after the installation the guys took away any documentation. today I found an usb cable connected to a power adaptor under the nightstand. whay is this for? Also it looks like that the nighrstand has a touchbottom on both side. do they work? by the way, can i found any instruction online?

There are two plugs in the back of the unit. One is for the under-cabinet lighting. The switch for this light is on the right side of the night stand, near the top. It's a small black roller button. The other cord is a power cord for the plug and USB charger that are located in the top drawer. You have to feed the cord to the back of the drawer where you'll find a circle hole in the back of the unit to exit the cord and plug it into the wall. I love these features and use them nightly.

what do you clean this with, what type of furniture polish?

Asked by: mister
The care instructions for the Brooke 2 Drawer Nightstand is to just wipe with a soft cloth. We don't recommend using furniture polish.

BROOKE 2-DRAWER NIGHTSTAND is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great nightstand This not only looks great and is very roomy but it has a nightlight under it and a plug in the drawer with a build in USB. The only thing a little bothersome is since the drawe has a plug behind its not the smoothest rolling when it opens

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect transitional piece Well made. I love the functionality of the under cabinet lighting, the power cord and USB input/charger.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Purchase for the look, not for extra features Design flow with the integrated power outlets and USB port in the top drawer pushes the drawer forward and keeps it open. I have a Brooke Mirrored Night Stand with same power outlet configuration, and I see the same issue in that one as well. Looks like it’s a design problem in all Brooke Furniture series. I have the entire Brooke series (Bed/Dresser/Mirror/Nightstand). Of which nightstand was not working for us. You buy it for looks, not function.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wonky open and close of drawers Because of the electrical included with this nightstand, the drawers often get caught up on the cord that powers it from the back. The puck lights underneath could stand to be a bit brighter at the highest setting, but are ok. The depth of the drawers is sufficient. The rest of it is sturdy solid hardwood construction.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from annoying drawer outlet I was wrong in thinking that the outlet in the drawer was great to charge phones or other items. It would have been if the thick cord that it has wouldn't keep the drawer from shutting. It also drags against the wall which scratches it, unless you have it significantly away from the wall which then things fall to the back of the nightstand. It would be better if they had an outlet on the outer-back side of the nightstand which would allow the drawer to move easily.
