There are actually wheels on the side of the table that slides out to put the extension in.

1. Can we store the leave under the table? 2. Is the table water resistant? (E.g with wood veneer on-top?) Can I eat directly on the table without any table pads?
The Amos Extension Dining Table leaf can be stored in the table. The table is water-resistant but it can satinet if for example a wet glass is left on the surface for an extended period of time. We recommend using a place mat.

Can I buy the extension short top separately? I received the table from a friend but he seems to have lost the top
Unfortunately, we do not sell the top for the Amos Extension Dining Table separately.

On the amos collection would this set be suitable for outside covered patio?
The Amos 7 Piece Extension Dining Set can be used outside but please note it does not have any weather proof characteristics therefore having the piece covered when not in use will help to increase the product maintenance.

Serves the need
The table is super functional and large. Has enough space to place your dinner menu. The extension table comes with wheels which is super cool. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the craftsmanship and accuracy in building it should be improved.

Great table for a great price.
I’ve had this table for a few months now and am really happy with the purchase. It is big and sturdy and love that it is expandable with the leaf storage under the table. We had an issue with the first table with a couple of broken pieces but it was quickly rectified with just one phone call. The bottoms of the legs are a bit rough and scratched our floor despite the wheels and glide. I recommend using some sandpaper to smooth out the bottoms.

Table is not an even surface flush with legs
This legs on this table are assembled separately and it creates an uneven surface between the 3 pieces. I didn't notice until I sat at the end and my plate kept moving when I cut into my food. You either have to deal with the sound of your plate hitting the surface unevenly or move it beyond the leg and away from you. I think it's poorly designed and should be flush. I wish I would have noticed it sooner to return it within the 7 days of delivery. It's a beautiful piece but I think the functionality and design of it is lacking. It should be a flush, even surface.

Different Color than Online and Customer Images
We bought this table expecting it to look similar to the online stock photos and/or customer images. It’s product description states is a gray / natural color.
We’ve ordered other items online for our home w/o issues, however this table a huge disappointment. After waiting 3 weeks for a dining table it finally arrived and we were excited. Open one side of the box and immediately knew it had to be returned. The color of our table had a LOT of orange/yellow undertones in it.
It looked nothing like the color swatch on the site or the other tables posted.
Big disappointment for a table we were so so excited for.
