Can you give a better description of the color? And can a box spring be used with this bed?
One picture makes it look more sandy brown-grey but the swatch looks more just grey.
Also wondering about the box spring - would a low profile box spring work?
We were worried about this too as we had brown carpeting in the room and didn't want it to be only gray. It was a little hard to tell in the store because of the lighting. But in our room it is definitely a sandy-gray look and could go either way depending on what it is surrounded by. We think it looks great with the carpeting but I think it would look ok with gray carpeting too. It's a versatile piece. Our room gets a lot of natural light, just fyi. As to a box spring, we just bought bunky boards which were all that were required for our mattress. If you have to have a box spring I would measure it out carefully because you don't want to eat up too much of the head board so that you end up with nothing to lean against when reading in bed.

How high would it be from the floor to the top of the mattress with a bunky board and a 12" mattress? How much headboard would show?
I want a few more measurements before I buy this.

I have a low profile box split box spring, I want to make sure it will support it.
Yes, the Allen California King Panel bed will fit a standard low profile bow spring(foundation).
For this frame it is recommended that you use a bunky board as a low profile foundation may bring the mattress to a disproportional height compared to the headboard.

Horrible quality
Horrible! Can’t sleep with my husband anymore he says the creaking from me rolling over was too loud. I paid 1k for my husband to never want to sleep in our king bed again … lovely… customer service gave me 10% off.. $100. I still need a new bed and this is ultimately now about a $900 loss for us. Wish someone who can actually assist us would reach out.

I purchased this in August and it was broken by early December. with just one person using it part time. The whole bedroom set is a beautiful design but this quality is unacceptable.

Unstable Foundation
Broke within the first month. For such a high price, I am so disappointed. The middle support beam wasn't sturdy enough so everytime we got on the bed, you could hear all the beams creaking. Then one day, they snapped. So sad we spent so much and then had to buy a foundation from Amazon.
