The Alton Night Table

There are some furniture designs that contain mid-century elements and are inspired by mid-century designs, perhaps featuring a blend of mid-century and more contemporary elements. There are others that are inherently, completely, head-over-heels mid-century, breathing mid-century all over the place. The Alton Night Table falls into the latter of these categories. It does this through loud tapered and angled legs, a deliciously 1960s cherry stain and a stacked drawer front with tiny black spheres for drawer pulls. Less mid-century than the Alton Night Table (to start with, the Alton Nightstand’s legs are shorter, less bold and more contemporary than mid-century as opposed to the Alton Night Table’s), the Alton Nightstand trades a statement base for a more practical statement: tons of storage space. Spanning 26”, this design has got two big-and-tall drawers for stashing anything and everything you need bedside. Technically, the Alton Nightstand is designed as part of the same collection as the Alton Night Table (#5 on this list), but it also works beautifully on its own, especially when paired with the Alton bed, which features a cherry stain finish to match.

The Jaxon Nightstand
