To help customers entertain in farmhouse-rustic style, Living Spaces designers hosted an in-store class at several Living Spaces locations. Check out the photos below from the Scottsdale class to see how the farmhouse tablescape came to life.

The Farmhouse Table

Entertaining guests in full farmhouse fashion starts with a solid farmhouse table. Look for dining sets that feature earthy colors and distressed wood that connote a rustic-chic, farm-fresh aesthetic. To warm up a solid wood farmhouse dining table, opt for seating with cozy upholstery.

Industrial Accents

Farmhouse style tends to borrow from the rustic influences of the industrial style. Design features like nailhead trim and distressed metallic decor, when grouped with fresh flowers and a simple plate setting, provide an organic charm.

The Farmhouse Centerpiece

Every farmhouse table setting needs a farmhouse centerpiece. To create an eye-catching look, look for large table trays or dining table decor that will allow you to incorporate wood, distressed metal and fresh florals – a.k.a. the three most important elements of farmhouse design!

An Elegant Hint

While farmhouse style embraces the rustic simplicity of life on the farm, it doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate the more elegant side of your style personality into a farmhouse table setting. By themselves, rustic wood centerpieces and distressed wood and metal finishes can sometimes feel plain, so there’s no harm in offsetting rugged farmhouse decor with a shiny metallic accent or two.
