Mattress Comfort Level
A mattress’s comfort level is all about feel, and the simplest way to identify which comfort levels are best for you is by trying out the mattresses in the store – sit on them, lie on them, stretch out on them or even nap on them! But before you embark on your comfort-sampling adventure, narrow down your search, and stay a step ahead in your mattress-buying process, by acquainting yourself with each comfort level’s basic definition.
Firm mattresses offer little to no give nor cushioning, making them ideal for those who are after high support. In general, firm mattresses are best for back-sleepers and stomach-sleepers.
Medium Firm Mattresses
Not too stiff and not too soft, medium firm mattresses (or medium mattresses) offer a balance between firm and plush, and are often recommended for stomach-sleepers, back-sleepers and side-sleepers.
Plush Mattresses (Soft Mattresses)
A plush mattress (or soft mattress) offers higher levels of cushioning and a “sinking in” feeling. Side-sleepers often prefer plush or soft mattresses over firm mattresses.
