Pendant-cosette hanging lighting
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Mcgyver3 years agoWe were looking for something simple that would put out ample light without being overly expensive and this light foot the bill at first glance. We installed this in the ceiling ourselves and we are very happy with the final result of the project. We used the gimmicky, seen on TV, Clapper remote control and it worked out nicely. Living spaces meet all expectations, and have nice products and courteous employees. We will be returning in the future.

Cool Fixture
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.Tech1 year agoI saw this in a Living Spaces email and knew that it would be perfect for my dining room. Simple, clean and a little rustic with the incandescent bulb that has an almost orange glow to it. I'd shopped for chandeliers but they are very expensive so this pendant fit the budget and it looks awesome.

A little disappointed in their customer service, but love the light.
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Mike2 months agoI wrote this because I didn't find a lot of reviews. The whole thing is long, but you can skip to just the light review if you like. Please check that everything is there and it's ** new** before leaving the warehouse. Customer service review My wife and I were looking for two chandeliers, one for over the dining table and one for the hallway. I was really leaning toward the Sputnik lights and she felt she wanted something a little more traditional that would not fall out of trend. I ... saw this light on the website and really liked it. My wife liked it, but wasn't so sure since she had not seen it in person. The other question is would it go over the dining table or in the hallway. I thought it could go either, but we were planning on going to Fremont, so we decided to stop at Living Spaces and look around at the different lights. We walked in and I saw they had a Sputnik light on display. It was a little smaller than I anticipated, and my wife was on the fence about it. We continued looking around the store and saw the pendant drop glass globe on display in the center of the building. I pointed it out to my wife and she immediately loved it and said yes. We both thought it would be perfect for the hallway. The length of the cord is about 7 feet (we have a high ceiling over the hallway), so it was perfect. The sales person didn't have the pendant in stock but offered us a display model. We opted for a brand new one because they do not give discounts on display models. It took 7 days to receive from their LA store. Now here's where things took a turn. We were notified that pendant had arrived and I had 48 hours to pick it up from the warehouse. No problem I picked it up on a Saturday. My first inclination something was wrong was the box, although the right size, didn't seem to have any product markings on it. Secondly I opened the box to make sure the glass wasn't broken and noticed the styrofoam was broken. I pulled it apart just enough to verify the glass wasn't broken and assumed everything else was ok. I got it home and took it all out. The diameter of the glass is bigger than it appears in the picture and the styrofoam around it is like a mould. Carefully taking everything out, I was eager to hang it, when I noticed it looked like the hardware was just tossed into a ziplock sandwich bag and the electrical wire was about 3 or 4 feet long. I looked for instructions in the box, but there weren't any. I kept thinking what am I missing. I looked again and noticed the other half of the electrical cord was at the bottom the box. It became rather apparent the cord was cut in the middle for hanging from a lower ceiling. This was definitely a display model. I called the store immediately to complain as you have 7 days to return it. I told them I was offered a display model, but wanted a new one. The girl told me I could return it to the store. So I had to wait 7 days for a display model that I didn't want, plus the drive to Fremont, which is approximately 30 minutes away to pick it up. Now I have to drive back 30 minutes to return it. I got to the store and explained to the guy behind the counter that this was a display, and I ordered a new one. I pulled out the sandwich bag of hardware and showed him, this is not new packaging. I showed him the cut cord and told him I found the other half at the bottom of the box. He looked at me and said, "So you want a display model?" I just thought, where did they find you? At this point I realized it was better to just remain cordial and keep it simple for him. "I would like to return this for a brand new one". He made the exchange and I probably questioned him at least three times, "It will be brand new correct?". He affirmed, but still had a look that he didn't quite get why I came in in the first place. Well 7 days later I called up the store to see if the light was in. This time they did not contact me to let me know it arrived. They told me I had 48 hours to get it. I drove 30 minutes again to the warehouse and explained to the check-in girl what happened and asked her if she could look at the inventory and verify it was new. She told me, "We don't have display inventory in the warehouse." No point into getting into another debate about this I thought. I waited until they finally called my name and asked one of the inventory people to open it so I can see that it's brand new. (I did notice the box did have product markings on it this time.) If it wasn't I was returning it for my money back this time. Again the styrofoam is like a mould around the glass, so I didn't pull it all out in the warehouse at the risk of breaking it. I did check that most of the styrofoam was intact. The hardware came in a proper bag and I could see instructions folded up inside with them. When I got it home I pulled it all out safely and was quite happy everything was intact. Review of the light As the title states, we love it. It's modern, but classic enough to stand the test of time. It is bigger than I thought it would be, so if you're going to put it over a dining table or island, I would try and see it in the store first to make sure it's not to be for the room. If you have high ceilings, no problem, the cord is nearly 7' long. It does take two people to hang this. It comes completely assembled, hence the reason you need two people to hang it. The hardware does not have a hook or any kind of mounting to hang the light while your connect the wires aka like a ceiling fan. So one person needs to hold the glass globe while someone else connects the wiring. The wiring is your standard black, white and ground. Once that is connected, the canopy has two holes which aligned with the mounting hardware and two nuts are screwed on which hold the canopy to the ceiling. Those two nuts are what hold everything to the ceiling. I was a little nervous about that, but my friend who helped me hang it was pulling on the chain and figured he gave it about 40 lbs of pressure and it didn't budge. It comes with a 25W equivalent bulb that I believe is 2700K. Personally I prefer the bright white color and a brighter bulb. I tried my local HD and found a 40W equivalent bulb at 3000K. That was still to yellow for my taste and not bright enough. Also I have been replacing all our lights with bright white and the light didn't match the light at the other end of the hallway. I went online and found lights, 75W equivalent at 4000K, same style, LED with the old time filament look to it. The new bulb did the trick. Overall, it's dead simple to install, it looks great. Personal preference on the color of the light and how bright you want it. The instructions could be bigger and a bit more legible. It's not exactly clear what they describe in the parts section, but it ends up being not applicable because the whole thing comes assembled. You just have to wire it first, then attach the canopy and you're done. Hope this helps.

Pendant Lighting
A pendant lamp may remind you of a chandelier because it hangs from the ceiling, but they are typically smaller and more understated than a chandelier. Pendant lamps may be hung from a chain or a stiff rod. Flushmount pendant lamps are installed directly into the ceiling. A pendant lamp is great because it lights a room without taking up space on any of your surfaces!
Pendant Lamp Styles
When looking for the perfect pendant lamp, keep in mind there is one to suit your needs. Whether you prefer one that looks like an old fashioned lantern, a modern looking pendant lamp or an industrial style one, there's one for you! Some pendant lamps have one light, while many of them have multiple bulbs to offer a certain look or style.
Hanging Lamp Sizes
There are many sizes of hanging lamps available. Flushmount lamps may be just 6 to 10 inches tall, but other hanging pendants could have a height as much as 48 inches. There is every size in between as well. Find the lamp for your space whether you've got tall ceilings and plenty of space, or a small space with low ceilings.
