Orange Sofa Collection
An icon of mid-century modern, orange sofas bring a splash of energy and timelessness.
Styling with an Orange Sofa
The colors you choose to pair with an orange sofa can make or break the energy of a room – so pair wisely! Here are a few tips to help keep your color scheme – and energy! – chic and harmonious.
- Opposites attract, that is, if you want to create bold contrast. Incorporate accent pieces, like throw pillows and blankets, that will accentuate a statement-making orange sofa – without blending in or “getting lost.” Some of our favorite “orange” companions include turquoise, bright white and charcoal.
- Let there be light. Whether its shade is pumpkin spice or burnt sienna, an orange sofa gives a spectacular aesthetic, so show it off by placing it near a window – where the natural light will highlight its mid-century appeal and bring out playful undertones.
- Orange you surprised? To pair an orange sofa with complementary colors like turquoise and white is one thing, but to make an orange sofa the only color in a room is another. Styling a room in all black and white except for an orange sofa can result in either a) a mismatched, unfocalized space where the sofa looks out of place, or b) a fresh, polished space where the sofa acts as a stunning centerpiece. To ensure your efforts result in the latter, use black and white and only black and white as the backdrop decor. Focus more heavily on white decor through a white rug, drapes, coffee table to keep the space feeling light and fresh – and sprinkle in black here and there through a sleek end table, floor lamp, ottoman or other “smaller” accent piece.
