Grey Ottomans
There is nothing like the refined simplicity of a grey ottoman to bring repose to the home. Whether you dress it up with a fancy throw blanket or prefer to let its neutrality shine on its own, a grey ottoman is versatile and easy to style.
Styling with a Grey Ottoman
A grey ottoman goes with every color and style and there really is no wrong way to arrange a grey ottoman – with one exception. Grey is a neutral hue, and there is such a thing as too much of it. Luckily, because they take up less room than a sofa and chair, ottomans are one of the easier grey pieces to style.
When considering a sofa or chair to go with a grey ottoman, pay attention to the trimming and detailing. A white sofa with grey nailhead trim will pair nicely with a grey ottoman. Black trim, however, may not – be wary of too many similar colors. A white sofa with grey trim, on a vivid red rug, next to a grey ottoman is harmonious; there are only two neutral colors here, and the third color (red) creates a balancing contrast.
Grey Ottomans as Accent Tables
The easy and practical way to accessorize is by placing a decorative tray on top of an ottoman-table. With a grey ottoman, choose a tray that will pop, like one in metallic blue or a fun pattern. Keep only one or two items in the tray – any more will give a cluttered appearance – and make sure the items will stand out. For a more feminine style, try a sweet-scented candle with a pretty crystal formation. For a more masculine look, pair a mini cactus with a vintage leather figurine or artifact.
Grey Accent Pouf
A grey pouf is fun, effortless and most importantly, comfy. Here’s how to bring out its style charm!
Styling with a Grey Pouf
Place one in front of an armchair for a cozy, chic alternative to the traditional ottoman. Or, use one as a chair in and of itself; styling a pouf as a chair is sure to prove a hit in kids’ bedrooms especially! In the living room, poufs make it easy to add extra seats for those days when guests arrive unexpectedly on a whim. You can also use a pouf as a makeshift side table, coffee table or even nightstand!
