Grey Armchair
A grey armchair chair brings a sleek, mod-chic look to the living room, without compromising on style versatility. To spruce up your space with a timeless appeal – while providing ergonomic support and lounge-worthy comfort – consider a grey armchair chair.
Styling a Grey Armchair
Because grey is a neutral, grey accent chairs offer loads of style versatility. If you want a warmer space, look for grey armchairs with warmer undertones (like red); for a cooler space, look for grey armchairs with cooler undertones like (blue). No matter if it’s warm or cool, grey is, at its core, a mixture of black and white – which means that either of those colors will pare well on a grey armchair. Consider layering a crisp white blanket and black throw pillows (or crisp white throw pillows and a black blanket) over a grey armchair for a contemporary-chic feel. If you must incorporate color, choose one that complements the grey armchair’s undertones.
In furniture, grey undertones are usually made up of yellows, purples, and blues; the easiest way to determine the undertones of your grey armchair is to compare it to a yellow piece, a purple piece and blue piece. If, for example, you hold up a blue pillow next to a grey armchair and notice a tint or even specks of blue in the grey that you didn’t notice before, this could mean the chair has bluish undertones – and would be best styled with pillows and blankets within the blue family.
One of the great things about grey armchairs is that they offer both the ‘depth’ that a black chair would bring and the ‘brightness’ that a white chair would bring. A grey armchair finds a calming, middle ground between two of design’s most highly-used colors – without losing a ‘personality’ of its own. Stylistically, what more can you ask of a chair?
